Owners Experience.
Brian Testarmata founded and developed bicoastal mortgage firm with offices in Massachusetts and California, strategically targeted to recapture loan portfolio of northeast regional bank giant, Fleet Bank. Brian has over 25 years of experience in mortgage Consulting and real estate investment. A graduate of University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Brian received an MBA from Babson College. He holds real estate broker licenses in Massachusetts and California.
History.
Newport Capital was founded in 1998 and incorporated in 1999 in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and California as Newport Capital Funding Corp.
The Company was founded on the premise of providing streamlined loan brokerage and processing operations in the mortgage Consulting industry. Newport Capital’s short term strategic mission pursued targeting loan portfolio recapture for a northeast regional bank giant, Fleet Bank, resulting in customer and investment retention on the West coast.
The company transitioned into an investment management company. Investing in undervalued real estate and managing the rehabilitation and turn-around of residential real estate in Massachusetts. Newport Capital Funding Corp. operating in California was closed in 2009. Newport Capital Corporation currently manages owned property for its principal and its holding company.
